Special Age Cards 30, 40 and 80

Hi again.  I have had loads of special birthday cards to make over the last few weeks - some were for my my friends and family and some were 'commissions' from work colleagues!

Here are a few of the ones I have made. I had fun making the rosettes which feature on most of them - these are really simple to make using the score board.

The 30th Birthday card uses some recently retired papers as well as silver glimmer paper.  The sentiment is Perfectly Penned and I heat embossed this with black embossing powder to get a raised finish.

The 40th card followed the same style but this time I used the Quatrefancy papers in the new catalogue.  the colours are so bright and cheerful!

The 80th birthday cards were for a work colleague to give to his dad - he wanted one for him and one for his son.  I used up some more retired papers for these, including Mocha Morning, and the stamps are Memorable Moments - which I embossed on black card with white embossing powder to get a chalkboard effect!

Name badge

This was the name badge I made for the Regional Training event last weekend. All the demonstrators made their own and I saw lots of beautiful and very creative ones!

I made mine with the Labels Collection Framelit dies, some Tea for Two designer series papers, rolled paper flowers and the leaves were punched out using the Bird Punch!  My name was stamped using the Noteable Alphabet stamps. I then I finished it off with some ribbon and pearls!

I'm still feeling very inspired and motivated after the event.  It has given me a boost to do some organising so I have spent most of this evening promoting my upcoming classes and sorting out some facebook posts. While this renewed energy lasts I might as well make the most of it!

A card for Mum

This weekend is all about the Mums! I have made several different Mother's Day cards this year and I've found it so easy with the products from the Spring/Summer catalogue.

This one started out as a Mother's Day Card but I actually ended up adapting it for my Mum's birthday which was a few weeks ago (she's 60 years young this year so I added a die-cut 60 in the glitzy silver glitter card - I forgot to take a photo though!).

The design is one I adapted slightly from Julie Kettlewell's at our quarterly team training event. I  just loved using the alphabet stamps to create my sentiment, so much so that the alphabet set ended up on my next order! Ooops!!
